DJ Solomoon was transformed in 1993 upon fatefully discovering the global movement of trance and ambient music. Recognizing this music as a timeless language that transcended not only musical genres, but also cultures and the timeline of humanity, he took up the art of DJing in ’94 to share and explore with others in the ancient trance-dance ritual. He has traveled great distances around the globe in hopes of understanding what can be collectively achieved through this archaic ritual. In the summer of 2008, he was invited to be a label dj for the venerable Ultimae Records, in France. “My DJ sets aim to combine intelligent movements and modern innovation with primal rhythms and the organic, tribal, ethnic sounds of the global village. I see and use this artistic medium of sound as a spiritual path for transcendence.”
